Derek Luo, Regional General Manager of Ballantyne Foods, makers of Golden Churn, describes how their team found new business at the 3rd China International Aviation Food & Supplies Exhibition.
“It’s very important to engage potential customers.” Derek said, “even though Golden Churn is a highly respected brand, we still like to talk about using it and the taste if we can – that’s the real proof of the value of the product, so we had a chef on the stand.”
Derek went on to explain that bringing new offerings to the market, such as individual wraps and portion controls meant helping customers rethink the Golden Churn brand as a new innovative range of products, based on a traditional favourite.
Visitors to the Exhibition included airline catering companies, food service distributors and related businesses.
“The Exhibition was a great success for us,” Said Derek, “We gained three new customers in the airline business, plus we made new contacts in airline catering and broader food services markets.”
